01 Dec Stress Free Christmas Shopping
Stress Free Christmas Shopping
Stress free Christmas shopping – does such a thing even exist? Well, it can, but it’s going to take some forward thinking.
Christmas – the time for giving, and good will to all. And also the time for massive panic attacks about presents, budgets, and how in the world are you going to find that sold out toy for the kids? The festive season often brings many people out in cold sweats as they try and finish all their Christmas shopping before Santa arrives and gets all the credit. But, there are ways you can de-stress your shopping, and some of them are much easier than you might think.
Writing a shopping list isn’t just for the supermarket. Having a clear idea in your head of what you’re going to buy before setting off stops you having a mad dash around the shops trying to figure out what to buy for that one awkward friend. Start out by writing down everyone you have to buy presents for, and then think about what your budget for each person is. Having all this information written down in front of you can really help lift some of the stress – you actually have some kind of plan.
Have a look at different stores’ online shops to get some inspiration, and see what you can get for your budget. For example, you know that Aunt Margaret really likes getting bath stuff for Christmas – so log onto sites like Boots.com and see what deals and offers they have. Around Christmas, many stores offer 3 for 2 deals, or special prices on gift sets. So, take a look online and find out just how much bang you can get for your buck. But, be careful – don’t go for that 3 for 2 deal if you only need to buy one thing, that’s just bad maths.
Buy It All Online
If you really want to take the stress out of it all, just buy everything online. You can browse without having to elbow other people out of the way, take your time filling, changing and emptying your basket and find many items that aren’t even available on the High Street. You also have the freedom to choose specific delivery dates, so you know exactly when everything will arrive. And, if you’re super chilled, you can order every single item to arrive gift wrapped too – so all you need to do is slide them under the tree on Christmas Eve.
Full On Forward Planning
Just buy all of next year’s presents on Boxing Day. Save money, and have zero stress next year, as you’ve already done it all.
